Shrine of Shah Rukn-e-Alam is one of the oldest monuments of Tughluq architecture. Tughluq dynasty was a dynasty ruled by Muslims of Turkish origin. The tomb is built in three levels with an octagonal lower story, an octagonal upper level of smaller dimensions, and a crowning dome.
