Introduction

OMID, which means "hope" in Persian, is a collaborative effort by Orah Jewels and Mr. Javaid Noori, a senior jewelry teacher at the Turquoise Mountain Foundation in Kabul. Mr. Noori had to flee his homeland due to conflict, but his passion for jewelry making did not fade away. He brought his expertise and passion to OMID, where he now works alongside Afghan refugees to create handmade jewelry using rough gemstones from Afghanistan.

Each piece of jewellery is a reflection of the rich cultural heritage of the Afghan people, along with showcasing the unique and natural beauty of the rough gemstones. OMID is crafted with care and attention to detail, resulting in a stunning and unique piece of wearable art.
