From the Alif Laila collection by Orah Jewels - each bracelet carries a Urdu letter worked in brass and inlaid with Mother of Pearl, the geometric patterns drawn from the carved stonework of Lahore Fort. Worn on the wrist, the letter faces outward - the Urdu harf in a position where it is read as much as worn.
Mother of Pearl is sourced from Pakistan's Makran Coast, Gwadar - coastal nacre with a cream-toned warmth distinct from imported shell. The bracelet is handworked at Orah's Lahore workshop and adjustable to fit most wrist sizes.
