Sitara-e-Lajward - Lapis Lazuli and White Topaz Silver Earrings
From the Sunheri Shaam collection by Orah Jewels and Crafts, Sitara-e-Lajward, star of lapis, sets a rough lapis lazuli teardrop into a hammered silver surface, with one small round white topaz beside each stone.
The lapis is natural, from the ancient mines of Badakhshan, Afghanistan, left in its raw teardrop form so the surface shows the mineral's uneven texture and the gold flecks of pyrite scattered through it. The white topaz is cut from stone mined in the Skardu region of Gilgit Baltistan, faceted to a small point of clear light beside the deep blue.
The silver surface behind each lapis stone is hammered into a dense field of small dimples, catching light differently from the smooth, polished stone in front of it. The white topaz sits just below and to one side, like a single point of light beside the larger stone.
Made at Orah Jewels and Crafts in Lahore, with lapis sourced directly from Badakhshan and the silverwork finished by hand. One pair.
