Chandiari
The Chandiari Earrings from Orah Jewels & Crafts embody the rhythmic geometry of Hala city’s shrine tilework, reimagined in miniature form. Each earring carries flame-shaped motifs cast in warm brass, linked in succession to echo the interlocking symmetry of Sindhi ornamentation.
At the base, a natural lapis lazuli sourced from the legendary mines of Badakhshan, Afghanistan anchors the design.. Surrounding the lapis are delicate pearls, their soft luster balancing the intensity of the stone, creating a dialogue of light and depth that mirrors shrine mosaics.
The earrings are designed with graceful movement: the flame motifs cascade downward, while the lapis and pearls form a harmonious focal point. The brass frame holds the stones securely without overpowering their natural beauty, allowing the lapis to shine as the centerpiece.
Handcrafted at the Orah Jewels & Crafts facility in Lahore, these earrings are the result of a twelve-year trade relationship ensuring direct sourcing of lapis from Badakhshan. Each stone is selected for lazurite saturation, calcite distribution, and pyrite brilliance before being cut and set with precision.
