Saaz e Bhit - Amazonite Brass Earrings

Rs.4,500

From the Sindhi Craft series by Orah Jewels and Crafts. Saaz e Bhit draws its form from the geometric tile work and hand painted pottery of Hala. The name references the ancient shrines of the region, whose colored tilework inspired the patterned face of this earring.

The stone is natural amazonite sourced from Gilgit-Baltistan. Amazonite is a feldspar mineral whose color sits at the intersection of turquoise and green, produced by trace amounts of lead and water within the crystal structure. The stone carries a soft waxy luster and a color that shifts between cool aqua and muted sage depending on the light.

The earrings are cast in brass, warm in tone and well suited to the relief patterning that references Hala shrine architecture. The drop measures 2.3 inches, sitting below the earlobe without being heavy.

Crafted at Orah Jewels and Crafts in Lahore, drawing on twelve years of direct gemstone sourcing across Pakistan. One pair, one stone configuration.
