Celestial Harmony - Idocrase Necklace

The Celestial Harmony necklace by Orah Jewels pairs idocrase from District Bajaur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with milky quartz from Chilas, Gilgit-Baltistan in a beaded necklace. Idocrase - also known as vesuvianite - forms in calcium-rich metamorphic rock and carries a distinctive olive to vivid green, distinct from the uniform color of glass or resin imitations of this scale.

Milky quartz from Chilas forms at high elevation in the same geological band that yields Gilgit-Baltistan's other stones - its translucence produced by fluid inclusions within the crystal. The two stones are paired for contrast: deep green idocrase against the pale, diffuse white of the milky quartz, both directly sourced from Pakistan's northern mineral belt.
