Phool - Natural Aventurine Earrings

Rs.5,000

From the Rangreza collection by Orah Jewels and Crafts, earrings that take their color from the green of Basant in Lahore. Phool holds natural Aventurine from Swat Valley, KPK on warm gold tone geometric brass links, the stones hanging as a long drop that moves with the wearer, the green catching light differently with each shift.

Aventurine from Swat Valley, KPK is a variety of quartz characterized by a phenomenon called aventurescence, a subtle internal shimmer produced by flat, reflective inclusions of fuchsite mica distributed throughout the stone's structure. The soothing green tone comes from the chromium content within those fuchsite inclusions rather than from the quartz itself. Swat Valley aventurine has a particular softness of color, the green neither saturated nor pale but occupying the calm mid-tone that makes the stone easy to wear against a wide range of skin tones and clothing colors. Each stone carries gentle variation in how the mica inclusions are oriented, which means the shimmer reads differently as the earring moves, giving the piece a quiet visual activity that a uniform stone cannot produce.

The gold tone geometric links provide a warm structural element above the stone, their angular form creating a deliberate contrast to the organic softness of the aventurine below. At 2.5 inches drop, the earrings are long enough to create presence and movement while remaining light enough for extended wear. They read as a considered piece without requiring a formal occasion.
