Phool Baliyan - Natural Rhodonite Earrings

Rs.5,000

From the Rangreza collection by Orah Jewels and Crafts, earrings that carry the soft palette of Lahore's Basant season in stone. Phool Baliyan holds natural Rhodonite from Gilgit-Baltistan in sculptural geometric brass links, the pink stones suspended so they move gently with the wearer, the color shifting between blush and deeper rose depending on the light.

Rhodonite is a manganese inosilicate mineral, its pink produced by manganese within the silicate crystal structure, with black veining of manganese oxide running through the surface in patterns that are unique to each stone. The stones from Gilgit-Baltistan carry the soft, warm pink that distinguishes regional rhodonite from material sourced elsewhere, with natural mineral depth that gives each piece a surface character you cannot replicate in dyed or synthetic stone. The color is not uniform across any single stone, which means the earrings read with subtle variation rather than a flat, commercial pink.

The geometric brass links are the structural element of the design, their angular form providing contrast to the softness of the stone below. The stones hang free from the links, creating gentle movement as the earrings are worn. At 2 inches drop, the earrings are long enough to be present without being heavy. They work with both casual and occasion wear, the stone color reading warmly against most skin tones and fabrics.
