Midnight Starlight Pendant - Silver Lapis And Aquamarine Necklace

The Midnight Starlight pendant by Orah Jewels is a lapis lazuli and turquoise inlay necklace in which the two stones transition seamlessly across the pendant surface. Lapis lazuli from Badakhshan, Afghanistan and natural turquoise are hand-selected by Afghan artisans for color quality and consistency before being cut and inlaid at Orah's Lahore facility - each stone piece individually shaped and set flush to the surface.

Lapis lazuli's blue is produced by lazurite with gold pyrite flecks in the matrix - deep, opaque, ancient. Turquoise is a copper phosphate mineral, its blue-green produced by copper ions within the crystal lattice. The two blues are chemically unrelated but share a depth that makes them sit naturally within the same piece.
