The Nephrite Jade silver ring by Orah Jewels is handcrafted in sterling silver and set with natural nephrite jade sourced from Bajur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Nephrite is a dense, fibrous calcium magnesium silicate mineral - its smooth, rich green is produced by iron substituting for magnesium within the crystal structure, giving the stone a different character to the jadeite more commonly found in commercial markets.

Nephrite from Bajur takes a smooth, tight finish suited to the clean, broad setting this ring uses. The stone's density means it wears well over time, less prone to surface damage than softer gemstones at this scale. Available in all sizes; made to order.
