Shuja'aat Ring - Handmade Silver Ring

The Shuja'aat ring by Orah Jewels is cast in 925 sterling silver and engraved with the Arabic calligraphy of Labaik Ya Hussain - a phrase of devotion and remembrance. The word Shuja'aat means bravery or courage in Urdu; the ring carries both in the choice of material and the weight of what is inscribed on it.

The calligraphy is worked into the silver band by hand at Orah's Lahore workshop - the letters traced and deepened individually rather than stamped from a die. The result is a ring that reads as writing first, jewelry second.

At Orah Jewels and Crafts, silver calligraphy work is one of the studio's oldest practices. Each ring is finished individually.
