Waraq - Natural Amazonite Bookmark

Waraq is a handcrafted bookmark with natural amazonite and Islamic calligraphy. Made at Orah Jewels and Crafts in Lahore, this bookmark combines a polished amazonite gemstone with steel metalwork and traditional geometric patterns. The amazonite is sourced from Gilgit-Baltistan in northern Pakistan and shows the soft blue green color that this stone is known for.

Amazonite is a variety of feldspar mineral that forms in granite rocks. The blue green color comes from lead inside the mineral structure. The stone is cut and polished at the Orah facility in Lahore. The calligraphy and geometric patterns are worked by hand on the steel surface. At 6 inches, this bookmark is sized to fit most books and works as both a reading tool and a small piece of Islamic art.
