The Imperial Bloom - Lapis Lazuli Pietra Dura Table Top

Rs.245,000

The Imperial Bloom is a round table top cut from a solid marble slab, its surface inlaid with a rising floral spray set in Lapis Lazuli, idocrase, riverstone, tiger iron, agate and serpentine. Made using the pietra dura technique at the Orah Jewels and Crafts lapidary in Lahore, it measures 24 Inches across and is sold as the table top alone, without legs or a stand.

The blue ground is natural Lapis Lazuli from Badakhshan, Afghanistan, its color coming from lazurite flecked with natural pyrite. The floral inlay draws on idocrase from Bajaur Agency, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, riverstone and serpentine from Skardu, Gilgit Baltistan, tiger iron, and agate from North Waziristan, each piece cut to shape and set into the marble by hand.

Made at Orah Jewels and Crafts in Lahore, where twelve years of direct gemstone sourcing across Pakistan feeds an in house lapidary and a team of around fifty artisans. The piece is not reproduced. One piece.

Natural stone note: veining and mineral inclusions are natural to the stone and not considered defects. They are part of what makes each piece unique.
