Koh-o-Darya - Lapis Lazuli and Amazonite Silver Earrings

Rs.28,500

From the Sunheri Shaam collection by Orah Jewels and Crafts, Koh-o-Darya, mountain and river, stacks a round lapis lazuli cabochon above a smaller round amazonite, with a large hammered silver disc completing the drop.

The lapis is natural, from the Badakhshan region of Afghanistan. The amazonite beneath it comes from Gilgit Baltistan, its blue-green color produced by trace lead and water within the feldspar structure. Together the two stones move from deep blue to a cooler, paler green before reaching the plain silver disc below.

The disc at the base is finished with a dense hammered texture, giving the pair weight and movement at the bottom of the drop. At 2.4 Inches, the three-part stack reads as a graduated line from stone to stone to metal.

Made at Orah Jewels and Crafts in Lahore, with lapis from Badakhshan and amazonite from Gilgit Baltistan. One pair.
