Rang-e-Ufaq - Watermelon Tourmaline Silver Earrings

Rs.34,500

From the Sunheri Shaam collection by Orah Jewels and Crafts, Rang-e-Ufaq, color of the horizon, is built around a single round watermelon tourmaline, its pink and green set side by side in the same stone.

The tourmaline is natural, sourced from Afghanistan, where tourmaline grows in long prismatic crystals inside pegmatite veins. Watermelon tourmaline forms when the mineral's color changes partway through growth, so a slice across the crystal shows pink at the center and green toward the edge, the two tones meeting in one stone rather than two.

Set simply in silver, the stone is left to carry both colors on its own, with no additional gem to divide attention. At 1.4 Inches, the pair stays light and close to the ear.

Made at Orah Jewels and Crafts in Lahore, with tourmaline sourced directly from Afghanistan and the silverwork finished by hand. One pair.
