Surkh Reit - Red Jasper Silver Earrings

From the Sunheri Shaam collection by Orah Jewels and Crafts, Surkh Reit, red sand, hangs one oval red jasper cabochon beneath a hammered, textured silver tab.

The jasper is natural, from Balochistan, Pakistan, its earthy terracotta warmth coming from iron oxide spread through the quartz. Set as a smooth oval cabochon beneath the rougher silver above it, the stone reads as the one polished surface in the pair.

The rectangular tab above the stone is finished with a dense hammered texture, which catches light differently from the smooth jasper hanging below it. At 1.2 Inches, the pair stays close to the ear.

Made at Orah Jewels and Crafts in Lahore, with jasper sourced directly from Balochistan and the silverwork finished by hand. One pair.
