Dua-e-Awwal - Natural Aventurine Wall Frame

Dua-e-Awwal is a wall frame by Orah Jewels and Crafts, centered on the opening words of the Quran, Bismillah ir Rahman ir Raheem, rendered in calligraphy and set within a wood frame finished in gold toned molding. Natural aventurine gemstones are set around the calligraphy, sized at 12 x 12 Inches for display on any wall.

The aventurine in Dua-e-Awwal is sourced from Swat Valley, KPK, the same mineral rich terrain that produces some of Pakistan's finest colored gemstones. Aventurine is a variety of quartz whose green color and subtle shimmer, known as aventurescence, come from tiny inclusions of fuchsite mica embedded within the stone, catching and scattering light as it is viewed from different angles across the frame.

Bismillah ir Rahman ir Raheem, meaning In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, is the opening phrase of the Quran and is recited before nearly every act in daily Muslim life. The calligraphy is centered in large script with the transliteration set beneath it, a piece meant to be read as often as it is seen in a home, office, or entryway.

Made at the Orah Jewels and Crafts facility in Lahore, with brass detailing and aventurine sourced and set in house.
