Mahrosh - Idocrase and Black Jasper Brass Bracelet
Mahrosh is an adjustable brass bracelet by Orah Jewels and Crafts, handcrafted with natural idocrase and black jasper beads. The soft green of the idocrase sits against the deep black of the jasper, with subtle gold toned accents balancing the two.
The idocrase in Mahrosh, also known as vesuvianite, is sourced from Bajaur Agency, KPK, a calcium rich silicate mineral that forms in contact zones where limestone meets intruding igneous rock under heat and pressure. The black jasper is sourced from Balochistan, a dense, opaque microcrystalline quartz whose deep color comes from fine grained mineral impurities distributed evenly through the stone. Set together, the two stones create a clear contrast between soft green and solid black.
The beads are strung on an adjustable cord, so the bracelet opens to fit a range of wrist sizes rather than a single fixed measurement. It wears well alone or stacked with other beaded pieces.
Made at the Orah Jewels and Crafts facility in Lahore. One piece.
