Dargah - Lapis Lazuli and Amazonite Brass Cuff
From the Sindhi Craft series by Orah Jewels and Crafts. Dargah takes its name from the Sufi shrine, a place where color, pattern, and devotion meet. The Sufi shrines of Hala are among the most visually distinctive in Pakistan, tiled in the deep blue and soft turquoise that give this cuff its palette.
Two stones are set into the face of the cuff. Lapis lazuli, sourced from Badakhshan, Afghanistan, brings the deep royal blue associated with Sufi tilework across Central and South Asia. Alongside it sits natural amazonite from Gilgit-Baltistan, a feldspar mineral whose color ranges from soft aqua to muted teal, produced by trace lead within the crystal structure. Together the two stones replicate the color vocabulary of shrine architecture in concentrated form.
The cuff is cast in brass and adjustable in fit. The patterned surface is worked in the geometric style of Hala craft, and the two stone settings are positioned to balance across the face of the piece.
Crafted at Orah Jewels and Crafts in Lahore, drawing on twelve years of direct gemstone sourcing across Pakistan. One cuff, one stone configuration.
