Lustrous Pendant

A large, single lapis lazuli stone - sourced from Badakhshan, Afghanistan - is mounted in oxidized silver in this statement pendant. The stone runs deep blue with visible pyrite veining, the natural gold threading through the blue a marker of genuine Afghan lapis rather than dyed imitation. At this scale, the stone's geological character becomes the visual argument for wearing it.

The silver setting is worked to frame rather than compete - its aged finish giving the piece a weight that suits both traditional dress and contemporary wear. At 28 inches, the chain places the pendant at chest level, making it the primary element of any look it accompanies.
