Blue Solstice - Lapis Lazuli Silver Bangle

Blue Solstice is a silver bangle by Orah Jewels and Crafts, set with a natural lapis lazuli gemstone in 925 sterling silver. Its deep blue hue and scattered golden flecks give the stone the look of a night sky, inspired by the graceful curve of the horizon.

The lapis lazuli in Blue Solstice is sourced from Badakhshan, Afghanistan, deposits that have been worked continuously for more than six thousand years, making lapis one of the oldest mined gemstone materials in recorded history. Its royal blue color comes from lazurite, formed within the rock under specific metamorphic conditions, and the golden flecks running through the stone are natural pyrite inclusions rather than an applied finish.

The stone is set into the band of the bangle, keeping the focus on the lapis rather than the metalwork around it. It wears equally well alone or stacked alongside plainer silver bangles.
