Gul-e-Sheesh- Natural Lapis Lazuli Earring
Rs.3,120
Rs.4,800
The Gul-e-Sheesh earrings feature the deep blue of lapis lazuli - sourced from Badakhshan, Afghanistan - set within a geometric brass frame drawn from Mughal architectural detail. The name translates as "Flower of Glass," a reference to the light-play of mirrored surfaces in Mughal palace interiors: a fitting source for an earring that works with reflected light.
The stone is cut and polished at Orah's Lahore workshop to show the lapis at its clearest - deep ultramarine with natural pyrite threading. The brass frame is worked by hand to the geometric pattern before the stone is set.
Handmade at Orah Jewels and Crafts, Lahore.
