Khaak-o-Neel - Lapis Lazuli and Red Jasper Silver Necklace

Rs.22,500

From the Sunheri Shaam collection by Orah Jewels and Crafts, Khaak-o-Neel, earth and blue, pairs a rough lapis lazuli slab with one small round red jasper beneath it, set in a half circle silver bezel.

The lapis is natural, from the ancient mines of Badakhshan, Afghanistan, left in its rough, uncut state so the surface shows the mineral's natural texture and scattered pyrite. The red jasper beneath it is from Balochistan, Pakistan, its deep red coming from iron oxide spread evenly through the quartz, cut here as a small polished cabochon.

The silver bezel wraps only half the lapis, leaving the rest of the stone's rough edge exposed, while the jasper hangs as a single clean point of color below it. The pendant hangs from a fine silver chain at 9.8 Inches.

Made at Orah Jewels and Crafts in Lahore, with lapis sourced directly from Badakhshan and jasper from Balochistan. One piece.
