Lajward Ufaq - Lapis Lazuli Silver Necklace
From the Sunheri Shaam collection by Orah Jewels and Crafts, Lajward Ufaq, lapis of the horizon, sets a wide freeform lapis lazuli slab directly across the chain, so the stone reads as a bar rather than a hanging drop.
The lapis is natural, from the Badakhshan region of Afghanistan, home to the ancient Sar-e-Sang mines that have supplied lapis for millennia. Set in its natural shape rather than cut to a symmetrical outline, the stone keeps the uneven edge and deep blue that marks hand sorted lapis.
Set as a bar across the chain rather than a drop below it, the stone sits flat against the collarbone, with the chain continuing on either side at the same height. It fastens at 9.2 Inches.
Made at Orah Jewels and Crafts in Lahore, with lapis sourced directly from Badakhshan. One piece.
