The Moonlit Majesty necklace by Orah Jewels pairs rectangular aventurine from Swat Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with black jasper from Balochistan, set in fine silver. The aventurine is cut into rectangular beads and strung in sequence with the jasper - cool, shimmering green against deep, opaque black, both stones at the same cut, the contrast carried by their material rather than their form.
Aventurine from Swat carries aventurescence - the shimmering quality produced by fuchsite platelets within the quartz. Black jasper from Balochistan is opaque, dense, and non-reflective. The necklace places these two optical qualities in deliberate alternation across its length.
