Neel Gul - Black Jasper and Amazonite Brass Bracelet

Neel Gul is an adjustable brass bracelet by Orah Jewels and Crafts, featuring a delicate flower charm set with black jasper and amazonite. The deep black and soft blue green tones create a striking contrast, giving the piece a graceful, nature inspired character.

The black jasper in Neel Gul is sourced from Balochistan, a dense, opaque microcrystalline quartz whose deep color comes from fine grained mineral impurities distributed evenly through the stone. Paired with it is amazonite from Gilgit Baltistan, a feldspar mineral whose blue green color comes from trace amounts of lead and water within its crystal structure, a hue found in only a handful of locations worldwide. Jasper has been carved and worn across the region for millennia for its solidity, while amazonite takes its name from the Amazon River even though the mineral has never been found there in commercial quantity, a naming mismatch that has puzzled mineralogists for years. Together the two stones set a matte black against a cool blue green, a pairing built entirely on contrast.

The flower charm holds both stones close together in one setting, keeping the piece delicate rather than heavy, and the adjustable brass band opens to fit a range of wrist sizes. It wears well alone or layered with other brass and silver pieces.
