Neel Naqsh - Lapis Lazuli Silver Necklace

Neel Naqsh is a statement silver necklace by Orah Jewels and Crafts, featuring polished lapis lazuli beads and a square pendant centered with a natural lapis stone. Fine engraved detailing and suspended silver elements give the design a heritage inspired character.

The lapis lazuli in Neel Naqsh is sourced from Badakhshan, Afghanistan, one of the oldest continuously worked gemstone deposits in the world, mined for more than six thousand years. The stone's deep blue comes from lazurite, formed under specific metamorphic conditions within the surrounding rock, and the natural pyrite flecks scattered through it are left visible as part of the stone's character.

The square pendant frames its central lapis stone with fine engraved lines, while suspended silver elements below add movement as the piece is worn. The beaded chain keeps the overall weight balanced rather than concentrated at the pendant alone.
