Neelkar - Lapis Lazuli Silver Ring

Neelkar is a silver ring by Orah Jewels and Crafts, finished in warm gold plating and set with rich blue lapis lazuli. The bold stone sits against the polished metal for a piece that pairs traditional material with a contemporary setting.

The lapis lazuli in Neelkar is sourced from Badakhshan, Afghanistan, the same deposits that have supplied the stone to traders and craftsmen for more than six thousand years. Its deep blue color comes from lazurite, formed within the host rock under specific metamorphic conditions, with fine pyrite flecks visible across the stone's surface.

The gold plated setting frames the lapis without competing with it, keeping the stone as the clear focal point of the ring. It wears well alone or alongside other gold toned pieces.
