Nilaab - Lapis Lazuli Silver Ring

Nilaab is a silver ring by Orah Jewels and Crafts, set with a bold, raw cut lapis lazuli stone. The organic shape and natural texture of the gemstone give each piece an individual character, while the clean silver setting keeps the finish contemporary.

The lapis lazuli in Nilaab is sourced from Badakhshan, Afghanistan, deposits that have supplied the stone for more than six thousand years. Its blue comes from lazurite, formed within the surrounding rock under specific metamorphic conditions, and because the stone is left raw cut rather than faceted, the natural pyrite flecks and surface texture of each piece stay visible.

Leaving the stone raw cut rather than polished smooth means no two rings carry quite the same shape or texture, each one following the natural break of the stone rather than a standard cut.
