Obsidian - Tiger Iron Silver Ring for Men

The Obsidian ring by Orah Jewels is handcrafted in 925 sterling silver and set with natural tiger iron sourced from the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Tiger iron is a banded aggregate of three distinct minerals formed in layers over billions of years: golden tiger-eye, metallic grey hematite, and deep red jasper - each band a separate geological event compressed into a single stone.

No two tiger iron stones cut identically - the banding pattern is unrepeatable, which means no two of these rings share the same surface. The golden chatoyancy of the tiger-eye is visible at an angle as the hand moves, a quality produced by parallel fibrous inclusions within the quartz.
