Pehchaan Crescent - Silver Topaz Earrings
The Pehchaan crescent earrings by Orah Jewels are handcrafted in sterling silver and set with natural topaz from Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, faceted in-house at Orah's Lahore workshop. The name Pehchaan means identity in Urdu - the crescent form that structures each earring is the crescent of the Pakistan flag, worn as jewelry rather than symbol.
Topaz from Skardu forms in granitic pegmatites under the Karakoram, producing one of the cleaner natural blues in the Pakistani gemstone catalogue. The faceting is done at Orah's facility rather than outsourced - each stone cut to the specific dimensions of the piece rather than to a standard size.
Handcrafted at Orah Jewels and Crafts, Lahore. A piece for those who wear their heritage without elaboration.
