The Pristine Light bangle by Orah Jewels is crafted in brass and set with natural blue topaz from Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan. Part of Orah's Urdu Harf series, the bangle is available engraved with selected Urdu alphabets - making it a wearable letter as much as a gemstone piece.
Topaz from Skardu forms in granitic pegmatites under the Karakoram at high altitude, producing one of the cleaner natural blues in the Pakistani gemstone catalogue. The brass setting gives the stone a warmer context than silver would - the cool blue of the topaz reads differently against a gold-toned metal than it does in a cooler setting.
