Ajrak - Aventurine Brass Earrings
From the Sindhi Craft series by Orah Jewels and Crafts. Ajrak takes its name from the iconic block printed textile of Sindh, whose deep geometric patterns have been woven into the region's identity for centuries. The earring face carries the same rhythmic precision found in that craft tradition.
The stone is natural aventurine sourced from Swat Valley, KPK. Aventurine is a quartz variety containing fine platelets of fuchsite mica that produce aventurescence, a soft internal sparkle that shifts as light moves across the surface. The color sits in the muted green range, earthy and composed rather than bright.
The earrings are cast in brass and drop 2 inches from the ear. The patterned face references the geometric tile work of Hala shrines, rendered in warm metal that complements the green of the stone.
Crafted at Orah Jewels and Crafts in Lahore, drawing on twelve years of direct gemstone sourcing across Pakistan. One pair, one stone configuration.
