Sindhi Lehar - Aventurine Brass Ring
From the Sindhi Craft series by Orah Jewels and Crafts. Sindhi Lehar draws its form from the geometric tile work and hand painted pottery of Hala, one of Pakistan's oldest artisan towns. The name means wave, and the pattern on the band carries that same quality of rhythm flowing through generations of craft.
At the center sits a natural green aventurine sourced from Swat Valley, KPK. Aventurine belongs to the quartz family and holds within it fine platelets of fuchsite mica. Their orientation across the stone produces aventurescence, a soft internal sparkle that shifts as light moves across the surface.
The stone reads as a muted earthy green, somewhere between jade and celadon, with a depth that feels quiet rather than loud. Orah sources aventurine directly from Swat Valley, where it forms in schists and quartz veins in the northern hills.
The ring is cast in brass, a metal with a long history in South Asian craft. Warm in tone, it holds fine detail well and develops a natural patina over time. The size is US 7, adjustable at the band to fit comfortably across most finger sizes.
Crafted at Orah Jewels and Crafts in Lahore, drawing on twelve years of direct gemstone sourcing across Pakistan. One ring, one configuration.
