Tawakkal - Natural Amazonite Décor
A handcrafted table décor piece by Orah Jewels and Crafts, featuring the Urdu word:
توکّل
Tawakkal — Trust, Reliance upon God
The word is engraved in brass calligraphy and set into a tile of natural amazonite, sourced from Gilgit-Baltistan. Amazonite is a variety of potassium feldspar, its blue-green color produced by trace amounts of lead and water within the crystal lattice. The stone forms in granite pegmatites and presents a matte, waxy surface that distributes its color evenly without the reflectivity of a polished gem. White calcite streaking runs through the matrix in varying densities across each tile, so no two pieces are identical in surface character. Tawakkal, the act of placing complete trust and reliance in God, is one of the core concepts in Islamic thought: the word here is not decorative but declarative, a daily reminder set in stone and metal.
The tile is 4 x 4 inches, weighted and stable on a flat surface without a stand. Suited to a desk, bedside table, entry console, or prayer corner. Made at the Orah Jewels and Crafts facility in Lahore. One piece.
