Safar - Lapis Lazuli and Pearl Earrings

From the Ankahee collection by Orah Jewels and Crafts, Safar takes its name from the Urdu word for journey, its brasswork strung with lapis lazuli and pearl to hold the small, unspoken memories a journey leaves behind.

Lapis lazuli sourced from Badakhshan, Afghanistan forms the beads at the center of each earring, its deep blue flecked with natural pyrite. Paired against it is natural pearl, set to catch the light differently than the matte stone beside it.

Ornamental brasswork frames the pair, cut and finished by hand. The earrings sit close to the ear and carry enough weight to move without pulling, built for everyday wear rather than occasion only.
