Shahkaar - Turquoise Silver Bracelet

From the Jahan collection by Orah Jewels and Crafts, Shahkaar is an adjustable silver bangle set with turquoise, its name meaning masterpiece, taken from the scale of craft on display at the Shah Jahan Mosque in Thatta.

The name Shahkaar means masterpiece, a word that in Persian and Urdu is most often used for architecture and craft on the scale of the Shah Jahan Mosque itself. The turquoise set into this bangle carries a comparable weight of history: it is mined at Neyshabur, in Khorasan province, Iran, a deposit that has been worked for over two thousand years, its blue color the product of copper bound into the stone as it formed underground.

At 57 mm, the open bangle form in Shahkaar sits close to the wrist without a clasp, built to be worn alone or stacked without adding bulk. Made in Lahore at the Orah Jewels and Crafts facility. One piece.
