Sukoon - Natural Aventurine Décor
A handcrafted table décor piece by Orah Jewels and Crafts, featuring the Urdu word:
سکون
Sukoon — Peace, Tranquility
The word is engraved in brass calligraphy and set into a tile of natural aventurine, sourced from Swat Valley, KPK. Aventurine is a variety of quartz characterized by aventurescence: fine platelets of fuchsite mica suspended within the stone matrix catch and scatter light across the surface, producing the soft green shimmer the stone is known for. Each tile carries a unique distribution of these mica inclusions, so no two pieces present the same surface. Sukoon, the Urdu word for peace and inner stillness, is one of those words that carries more weight than its translation suggests: it implies not just the absence of noise but the presence of something settled and whole. The piece holds that meaning in both word and material.
The tile is 4 x 4 inches, weighted and stable on a flat surface without a stand. Suited to a desk, bedside table, entry console, or prayer corner. Made at the Orah Jewels and Crafts facility in Lahore. One piece.
