Gulshan - Natural Lapis Lazuli Silver Bracelet

Rs.45,500

From the Rani collection by Orah Jewels and Crafts, a bracelet where the stone material is the entire design. Gulshan sets uncut Lapis Lazuli from Badakhshan, Afghanistan in silver bezels along a 7.5-inch cuff, the stones in their natural rough form, the blue present and uninterrupted across the wrist from the first stone to the last.

Lapis Lazuli from Badakhshan is a mineral composite in which lazurite, calcite, and pyrite form together in a calcium carbonate matrix under high pressure metamorphic conditions in Afghanistan's northern mountains. The lazurite content determines the intensity of the blue, with the finest Badakhshan material reaching a deep, uniform saturation that has made it the standard by which all lapis is evaluated globally for six millennia. In its uncut form, as used in Gulshan, the stone shows the slight irregularity of its natural outline and the surface variation across each piece's face, the pyrite inclusions visible where they occur at the stone's surface rather than emerging only after polishing. This means the blue of each stone in Gulshan is not fully equalized, it has depth and local variation that is the signature of genuine, unmassaged material from a real source. The stones were sourced directly from Badakhshan through Orah Jewels and Crafts' supply network and selected for chromatic consistency at the Lahore facility before setting.

The silver cuff is smooth and slightly curved to the wrist, the bezels low and fitted individually to each stone. At 7.5 inches, the piece fits a standard wrist with a small gap at the back, the weight distributed evenly across the full length. The stones carry the visual weight while the silver serves as frame.
