Zard Ufaq - Peridot Silver Earrings

Zard Ufaq features natural rough peridot finished with 24k gold plating on the sterling silver setting, the warmth of the gold elevating the stone's yellow-green into something decidedly richer and more intentional.

Rough peridot presents the stone as it forms, textured, dimensional, with visible crystal faces and natural surface variation that faceting would eliminate. No two rough stones are identical, which means no two pairs of Zard Ufaq earrings are identical. The stone's color a vivid green with yellow undertones is one of the most distinctive in the mineral world, produced entirely by the iron content of the olivine crystal structure without any need for treatment or enhancement. What you see is exactly what the earth produced.

The 24k gold plating on the sterling silver setting was chosen deliberately. Where the sister piece Gulrang  uses unplated silver, Zard Ufaq wraps the stone in gold warmth, drawing out the yellow in the peridot and creating a color relationship between setting and stone that unplated silver cannot achieve. The result reads as warmer, richer, and more evening-appropriate than Gulrang  the same stone, an entirely different conversation.
